There is only a need for if you want higher res textures. I ve started using it a few days ago and i am pleased with the normal resolution tiles.

I asked on one of the discussion threads on X-Plane Forum but no one answered, so I thought i would just ask the source. I have looked through the manual and I can't find where it explains exactly what Leave Mode is ? Can you point me to where it explains this in the manual or maybe explain it here. Either way works for me and Thank You very much..
I also have a question on the tool itself and why now when I load X-Plane Map Enhancer goes through over 500k of tiles before stopping, then xplane 12 continues on and loads up. But this takes 10 to 15 minutes every single time. This did not use to do this until the las two updates - basically after xpme. Using Google Map 1 (Pro).

Can you please fix Hawaii? All the buildings are currently below the google imagery. Hawaii islands are supposed to be located in Demo Areas (Xplane 12 folder)

Me too horrible low resolution/blurry tiles after 3.0.1 update.
I don't use it anymore and it will definitely not renew the license. If the problem is fixed then we'll see.

It was WAY better in the previous release (before 3.0).
Totally useless at the moment - until fixed I suggest to revert back to previous version
UPDATE - FIXED in 3.03 release.
now works like a charm, flawless and with nice and sharp ground textures

Hallo ,I updated Map Enhancement for X-Plane 12 to version 3.01, but now I see all the terrain blurry. We uninstalled Map Enhancement, emptied the "Base Packages" folder and the cache, and then reinstalled Google Map Enhancement. We are in high definition since we purchased the PRO map license.

Thank you very-very much for this wonderful add-on!!! A sim changer! Inmediately subscribed to the pro version.
I have only one suggestion: the preload function allows preloading the tiles from about 10 nm distance around the aircraft. Could you make it more than 10 nm? Or better: build in a slider, where the user can set that distance. Because it can be bigger if you have a strong computer, as I have, and if I could set it to 50 nm for ex., I wouldnt see any missing/not yet loaded tiles in the distance.
Would it be possible?

Hello, I have run the auto installation and when clicking start I receive the message "Error mounting VHD files. Please make sure Virtual Disk service is enabled." I have edited the virtual memory file to be automatically managed by the system. Do you know the solution to this?

I found the root cause. You need to check the Device Manager. In the system devices there are devices like "microsoft hyper-v-virtualising....." and "Microsoft virtual disk....."
Those might be deactivated (maybe you saw the same misleading YT video like me that told you to deactivate those services in order to gain performance)
